Strength training goals for the next 46 days:

  • Squat my body weight:  -
  • Bench press 3/4 my body weight: 93%
  • Overhead press half my body weight: 85%
  • Lose the love handles: they’re still there

Day 35
Squats:  -
Overhead Press: 95 1×5  85 5,5,4,1
Deadlift: 175 1×5
Pullups: 60 lb offset x 9, 50 lb offset 3,3
Planks: 3×30 seconds

First squat felt like someone pulled a Tanya Harding on my right knee. It was complaining a bit from last night at TKD (probably the lunges) but I really didn’t expect it to feel like someone kneecapped me with a lead pipe. Need to take a little time off squats and hit the cosequine for a bit.

Pull ups: 7,3,3 (50 lb offset)
Planks: 3×30 seconds

Jyllian commented that this was the first time I paused when doing the squats and that I usually knock them out without apparent effort. I’m feeling the weight more but I’m pretty sure that it comes from Master Edwards pushing us in TKD last night. It was a great class and I was completely wrung out at the end (thanks Master E). So much so that I could still feel my legs getting tired as I went up and down the stairs this morning.
