Ok so I’ve pretty much been dragging ass for the last year. Sure, I’ve lost some weight and I’m in a little better shape but when it comes down to it i’ve spent more time playing World of Warcraft than training and it shows. If I’m going to get to a black belt in TKD and not feel like a pity case when I get it I’m going to shift that equation a bit.
Since one of my major frustrations is my flexibility, or lack thereof, I set aside some space in the garage where I can skip rope for a bit to get my blood flowing before I stretch. I’m not looking to burn any major calories that way but it should help with the short term bursts of cardio I need for sparring and at the same time get everything warmed up so I can stretch and maybe be able to get a hook kick up to head level by the end of a year.
